The building is a single storey, flat single ply roofed building. It was constructed of a steel frame with metsec infills clad externally in two coloured render. Aluminium windows and doors completed the building envelope.

With over 1,000 pupils, this school had no dedicated catering facility. Meals were created off site and brought in pre-packaged. With no seating area, pupils could only stand outside or use the assembly hall.

This new facility provides a purpose built state of the art canteen with seating and full catering facilities,  enabling students to benefit from daily hot school meals made fresh on site.
