Location
Working within an existing concrete portal frame building, Marlows lined the structure with sound deadening anti-vibration material. A new internal steel frame was constructed with a 25mm gap from the existing structure. Layers of sound proofing material was finished off with panels of decorative Troldtekt acoustic panels, surrounded by colour changing led strip lighting. A stage was created at one end, with a separate artist entrance and green room kitted out with shower facilities and a kitchen. The control room is actually a room inside a room, with an air lock to ensure sound does not enter. An essential bar was created in the reception room where your ‘entourage’ can relax while artists are performing. A further first floor room is to be used as an editing suite. Externally a new ramp and Marshall branding cladding was also installed.
