The works comprised of the new construction of a SEN block for the use by Sixth Form students at Woodlands School. The building is constructed using tradition brick and block external walls, beam and block floor and precast concrete slab first floor. The building is heated and cooled using a combined AC and ventilation system. It is lit throughout with LED lighting. The building also contains an accessible wet room to cater for the specific needs of the students. A full passenger lift was installed to allow students and staff quick and easy access to the first floor. The project design was taken from its outline concept (by LBC), through to detailed design, completed by CPA.
